Anirban Basu, Gautam Buddha Nagar, 8th July 2020 : Vishakhapatnam police have arrested the CEO and two directors of LG Polymers in connection to the styrene gas leak case in their factory which led to the death of twelve people and caused five hundred and eighty-five people to fall sick.
The arrests took place after the committee formed by the State Government mentioned in their report about the negligence on the part of the plant. The report mentioned that the security protocols were not maintained which caused the fatal accident.
The gas leak incident happened on 7th May this year amidst corona virus pandemic scare and the ghastly and disturbing pictures and videos send shock wave across the nation and caused a nation-wide uproar against it.
